Visitation Restrictions

We have been very grateful to the staff of NMCSD for their compassion, dedication and professionalism, in taking care of Jayson and our family.  They have been very accommodating to our family and friends.  We can't thank them enough for all they have done from the time Jayson was first admitted in December 4, 2011 to today.

The overwhelming support we've received has been so unbelievable.  Many family and friends have visited Jayson these past 5 days. They've encouraged him with their words and touch; serenaded him with inspiring and glorifying music; prayed over him with heartfelt compassion and have fed us with physical and spiritual food.  We've appreciated every act of kindness, prayers and support.

We continue to welcome anyone who wishes to visit Jayson.  However, due, to a reduction in his white blood count, he is more susceptibility to getting an infection.  Because of this, a number of changes have been made.  We are now only allowing 2 visitors at his bedside at any given time.  Also, all visitors are required to wear a mask and sanitize their hands.  This is to protect Jayson and keep him stable.

Also in respect to the other patients in the PICU (Pediatric ICU), we have to place crowd control measures. All visitors are asked to wait in the main waiting area in the 2 North ward.  Two visitors will be escorted to Jayson's room at a time.  Even though this will not allow us to sing and pray over him as a group, this allows us to spend a more intimate time with him.

We thank you in advance for abiding to these new requirements.  Thank you and God bless.
